Your Privacy Matters - How we keep your Boudoir Photos Safe and Private
The most important part of being your boudoir photographer is that you trust me.
Getting undressed and vulnerable in front of a kind-of stranger with a camera can be nerve-wracking and it is really important that you are able to trust your photographer. Our Simcoe County Boudoir Studio promises to provide a safe, comfortable and private space for your boudoir photos, so that you can enjoy your session without any stress or worry!
I get many questions about the privacy and safety of your images and this post will answer those common questions all in one place.
Who will see my Images?
The only people who will ever see your images are the people YOU want to see them. I will never share online or in print without your written permission. Besides myself, the only person who may see your images are the people at the lab who print your albums or prints. The two labs we use are very professional and specialize in boudoir photography and take your privacy as seriously as I do. Both labs offer discreet packaging, and one of them has an All- Female print staff guarantee. If you prefer a female only printing lab, just ask and I will be sure to order your albums or prints from that specific lab.
If you do allow sharing of your boudoir images, they may be seen on my website, social media or in marketing print products. Some images may be shared by the makeup artist that prepped you for your session. We LOVE when women allow us to share some, or all, of her images but it is never mandatory.
Are my Images Safe in the Online Gallery?
At Wild Hearts Studio we do in-person or online Zoom reveals. This means that the first time you view your images, it will be on my computer in person. No images will be placed online before you see them.
Once your selected images are edited, they will be loaded to an online gallery for you to download. This gallery is private and only you have access. The gallery is only left up for 1 week. Enough time for you to download your images and then I take it offline.
If you prefer your final digital images to be presented to you on a USB instead, just let me know! I am happy to accomodate that request.
What if I want to share some of my images, or share images but remain anonymous?
There are many ways we can do this! Some women will allow me to share images that are close up, or do not show her face. We do appreciate being able to share so that other women can see the process and final images and be inspired to do a session, too! We will work together to decide on what images, if any, you are comfortable sharing.
How can I display or print my images, but still keep them private?
Many women will choose to print their boudoir images individually, and store them in a beautiful leather keepsake box. This box can come with a solid lid to keep the contents anonymous. If you do want to print some images large to display on your walls, we can work together to create some artistic images that are classy and timeless, but do not show your face. Albums may also be designed with a simple cover or matching box.
What about at your home, on your personal computer? How do you keep those private?
My boudoir studio is attached my my personal home. And yes, I do have a family. However I will never book a session when anyone else is home. If our only option for your session is during a time when my family is around, or if you prefer a different location, we have the option of renting another space. There are a few studios available in surrounding towns that we can rent out.
All my images are stored on my working computer and hard drives. All of these have passwords and no one other than myself have access to these computers or files. I will never edit or work on your images when anyone else is in the studio so there is no worry about anyone seeing your images accidentally.
To ensure more security, all of the files that you rejected or did not choose will be deleted immediately from all hard drives. The final edited images will be stored in a password protected file for 6 months, this is to ensure you are able to download and store your images correctly. After 6 months, all files will be deleted.
